Dr. Harrison graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2010 and was board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2015. She was certified as a fellow in Global Maternal and Child Health at Columbia University Medical Center in 2017 and is now Director of Women’s Reproductive Health Research at the Center for Global Health at the Colorado School of Public Health as well as an NICHD K12 Women’s Reproductive Health Research Fellow. She subspecializes in global maternal and child health and family planning and is interested in improving access to safe contraceptive, abortion, and labor and delivery care so women in low- and middle-income countries can prevent, limit, space, terminate, or survive, pregnancy. Her research goals are focused on implementing public health programs that will improve the quality and delivery of facility- and home-based labor and delivery, abortion, and contraceptive care in a way that empowers women to separate their own life goals from their fertility-based goals, should they differ.
