Shelley graduated with a Master of Public Health from the Colorado School of Public Health University of Denver in 2016 with a focus on Leadership and Public Health Practice. In addition, has worked at Denver Health for the past 6 years. Shelley was drawn to working at Denver Health after being a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador where she would often help organize medical brigades that came through the community. With the brigades, she saw how much access to health care could affect one’s life, and instantly was drawn to public health. At Denver Health, Shelley has worked in a variety of roles from clinical to more administrative, and is currently a Community Health Planner managing budgets and grant deliverables for Denver Health School-based and Head Start programs.
