Data are a powerful tool in highlighting health inequities; however, data without context can be harmful and can stigmatize. In order to support those who analyze data and those who communicate health data findings, a cross-divisional team at Denver Public Health (DPH) collaborated to shape a data equity commitment statement, set of principles, and actions. This presentation explores how DPH established principles for data and equity and how the organization works toward living these values.
