An internal QI taskforce was established to perform an assessment using internal data. The following problems were identified; current opt-in philosophy, current clinic work flow, visit types excluded from CT screenings and cost of additional lab testing. Staff training and education was provided and the program changed to an opt-out philosophy of screening. Clinic flow was revised so that targeted clients were automatically routed to the bathroom and educated on self swabbing.  All RN/express visits followed this same routing process. Every targeted client’s FIRST visit of the year, regardless of the visit type received screening. Cost was initially a perceived barrier. However sustainable grant funding was secured to cover the cost of labs for those uninsured.
