Many people in Colorado, especially those with lower incomes, face inequities in finding specialists when they need care. The Colorado Health Institute developed a model to estimate how much care is needed among Coloradans who are privately-insured, publicly-insured, and uninsured. The findings highlight the gaps and identify the extent to which new care delivery approaches — such as e-consults — can be part of the solution.
