How to Screen a Middle School for Tuberculosis: Communication, Collaboration and Lessons Learned

At the beginning of the year, the Denver Metro TB Clinic (DMTBC) was notified that a person who spent significant time at a local middle school was diagnosed with active tuberculosis. Over the next three months, DMTBC, other Denver Public Health departments, and Tri-County Health Department investigated and recommended testing the entire school for TB. Learn from our successes and challenges collaborating to enact a large, publicized public health intervention.
