Change management is a critical skill for public health leaders, managers, and staff.  Regardless of the type of change, workplace or sector (government, healthcare, non-profit, business, etc.) success depends on individuals embracing and adopting changes. Equity and social justice issues can produce intense and anxiety-provoking behaviors from staff at all levels as well as community members involved in a change process. Developing change management competencies enables public health staff to successfully address change initiatives.
