In 2018, the FDA declared youth vaping an epidemic. The most recent Youth Risk Behavior Survey shows Colorado leads the nation in youth vaping, with 27% of youth reporting they vape. In response, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is advocating for bold solutions to curb the epidemic. This presentation will describe the scale of the problem, review current efforts, and encourage collaborative discussion of solutions that help communities effectively combat youth use.
