Assessments are a core function of public health. Using them appropriately with communities is crucial to identifying the behavioral and social determinant that impede or enhance desired behaviors. During this session, presenters will provide information related to the Socio Ecological Model and the benefits of conducting Root Cause Analyses to identify the underlying determinants that regulate how likely communities are to move towards healthier behaviors related to substance use disorders in a social context.
